A terraced landscape and woodland cemetery on the Karthause slope, with a historic plane-tree avenue, two ceremony halls, an arboretum and many significant grave monuments.
The first burial took place in January 1820 and consecration followed in May. The cemetery expanded up the hillside in several phases and was restored from 1950 after severe wartime damage.
